The third of three hands-on, practical days of gathering and making tasty food and effective remedies using the plants growing seasonally at Tomnah’a and around Comrie Croft. Each workshop will include a walk to find and gather plants, information on plant ID and safe sustainable harvesting, practical remedy making and plenty of time to share experiences and ask questions.
Anna has many years of experience growing, harvesting and making her own herbal remedies for friends and family as well as running workshops for both adults and children, and is currently training to become a medical herbalist with the Plant Medicine School in Ireland.
The Autumn session will look at fruits and roots - syrups, vinegars and other tasty remedies
Spend time investigating the riches of the hedgerows on the farm, and combining the fruits into a tasty syrup for keeping well over autumn and winter, as well exploring using vinegars for preserving autumn harvests.
