Scottish-grown flowers are beautiful, gentle fragrant and completely unique.
An increasing interest in food provenance and seasonal eating, has led to many people seeking similar standards for their cut flowers. Using our sustainably-grown Scottish flowers will stand your floristry apart from other conventional florists and put you at the forefront of the sustainable floristry revolution.
We are part of an expanding network of flower growers from around Scotland specialising in growing a wide range of traditional and unusual cut flowers. This allows Scottish florists and the general public access to locally grown cut flowers with a much reduced carbon footprint.
Locally-grown Scottish flowers are also different to their mass grown counterparts in having fragrance, softness and vibrancy that has been lost from flowers that are chemically treated and held in cold storage for extended periods. Our flowers are pollinated by bees and butterflies playing a role in their local ecosystem, and have not travelled far to reach their final destination. They are fresh, generally picked the day before their sale and smell great because they’re scent hasn’t been bred out in replace of other traits.
Florists can open a wholesale account with us and purchase flowers directly from our farm, or alternatively can apply to join the Scottish Flower Collective and have access to order our flowers through the Edinburgh Hub. Here florists can also order from multiple other Scottish growers at once with a central collection point (and hopefully in the near future, a delivery service).
Our flowers vary throughout the year in tune with the seasons, from March to November, peaking in July and August when our farm is bursting with flowers, butterflies and bees.
