Botanical Drawing Class

  • Tomnah'a Market Garden Braincroft Crieff, Scotland, PH7 4JZ United Kingdom (map)

The third of three part course will help you to see the intricacies of plants from a botanical perspective which will help you understand the parts of a plant and how they work. We are so lucky to have such inspiring subject material here with our flowers, fruit and vegetables and botanical drawing is a great way to celebrate it.

The course will be led by Linda Russell who has fairly recently moved into botanical illustration but quickly acquired a very high level of drawing evident in books like "Scottish Plant Lore- an Illustrated Flora", her technical expertise and previous teaching profession mean that for anyone interested in drawing or plants this is something not to be missed, all levels of ability are welcome.

We will have materials for you to buy on the day and will also send a materials list beforehand if you want to bring your own.

Our venue is an open sided barn so please be prepared for all weathers, there will be hot drinks and biscuits on the day. Please get in touch if you might need help accessing our field as we have alternative drive-in access.

You can choose to do one off classes but it is recommended to attend all three as they will progress you to a better understanding.
