Songwriting Workshop

  • Tomnah'a Market Garden Braincroft Crieff, Scotland, PH7 4JZ United Kingdom (map)

Lhamo believes that if you have something to say, then you have something to sing, and that songwriting is for everyone.

Using the garden, the sky, the birds, the breeze and anything else that appears as inspiration, Lhamo will guide you on a songwriting journey to discover and create lyrics, melodies and harmonies and shape these into songs.

Lhamo is a singer, songwriter and community singing facilitator. She has been writing songs since she was a child. More recently Kenny Anderson of King Creosote asked if he could cover one of her songs, and she has written commissioned songs for individuals and businesses.

No songwriting, singing or musical experience, skill or knowledge required. Songs can be simple or complex, they can be very short or longer, they can be accompanied by instrumentation or they can be acapella.

Bring instruments if you wish, but they are not essential.

The simplest idea can become a song. Join Lhamo at Tomnah'a, and she will show you how! This will be a day of light-hearted fun, creativity and relaxation. Absolutely no pressure to perform or share your songs, though that will be encouraged for those who are keen and willing!
